A Different Book

Marriage is hard.

Sometimes things are going great and everything is really wonderful.

Sometimes though you find yourself on very different pages of the story that is your marriage.

Then there are the really rough times when you are pretty darn sure you are in completely different books.

Father God, the other night you reminded me of a scripture I have been working to memorize. Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up. Do you not perceive it? For I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

Help me Lord to see the new thing you are doing. As much as I want others to see in me the new you are doing within me.... I mostly want to stop holding others to their past and instead seeing the new in them.
